I will just leave this here

There is a very active Holland Grill user group on FB. I tried to ask about this charcoal model as I have never seen any one post info on it but never got a reply. They are really into Gassers. There gas grills have a cult following but from what I can tell it is sort of like cooking in an oven. No flames. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1637955096725935/?ref=saved&referral_code=null
I actually started a thread back in Noverber when I came across some FBM listings. https://tvwbb.com/threads/has-anyone-tried-a-holland-charcoal-grill.99801/

I'm trying to decide whether I do a regulator delete on my Weber Performer or is there a reliable option for an adapter hose. I have a couple bad hoses and that makes me skeptical. One of them is Weber brand and the other is a knockoff. Does anybody know of our reliable long-lasting propane adapter hose?

I've used this one on my Traveler for the last 1.5 years without issue. I think I also used it on a Gen 4 Performer in the brief time I had it it.

No, I have not used that specific one. I have used others however.....Shorter is better IMO on those hoses. When you start getting longer ones (8' and longer), you have more chance of tripping the protection device in the tank.
Three out of the four adapter hoses that I have acquired don't work and that really makes me want to go a different route. I've tried them several times on several grills. If there was a short one that I knew for sure I could rely on for the long term I would definitely go that route but the only way I know to be sure that it will last is to do a regulator delete.

That way I could also use a 21" regulator hose

I'm kind of leaning towards a regulator delete but I'm not 100% sure yet.
I don't understand why you feel compelled to do so.....?....?
I haven't heard of any Performa regulators going bad.....

The 5' hose I have for mine is fine --- I don't leave the tank hooked up to it so I just tuck the connector end of the hose into the charcoal bin to keep it out of the way. The gas assist sure is cool - but over rated and not really needed IMO.

I just explained why.

Jim I don't except you to understand. We are not the same. I don't have the same opinions on things as you do. We see and do things differently and there's nothing wrong with that.

Jim, I think we all do stuff with grills that doesn't make sense to others. Heck, I have a Frankengrill that way beyond a few simple mods. I love it, but I can definitely picture some of the comments others have when I post a picture of it.
Heck, have you seen Mark's propane fired Delorean? He has done a lot of mods on that grill that I would never consider but it works for him. Sometimes we do things to our grills simply because we can. We all have differeing opinions on our grills. Cover or no cover, grill mat or no grill mat. LP or Propane. Stainless grates or Cast Iron. Coal or gas. etc.....
No one is right or wrong. As long as it works for them, it is right.

... except charcoal grills are better than gassers. 🤣

I've been using mine and it's not bad lol. When I'm finished restoring it I'll probably donate it or put it up for sale for more than it's worth to me.
Just poking my gasser brethren. Both are good and each does some things arguably better than the other.

Regarding your Performer, you will have no problem unloading your Performer and either turning an easy profit or making someone very happy by donating.

Thank you Mike! I agree both are great in their own way. It's been a pleasure to use. I'm not sure exactly what I'll do with this one after it's finished but I will definitely enjoy putting my flavor on the restoration.

Well easy pick up today!
I'm just out working on my performer in the garage with the door open and my neighbor from a few houses down says he's moving and was wondering if I could take his grill. He explained to me what it was and then he rolled over his Weber Q grill.

If only I could get everybody to deliver. Much easier that way lol
