After owning a Genesis SPX 435 smart grill and closely looking over a couple other new Genesis grills this summer and closely looking over a new $4000 summit I have been very unimpressed from the thin flimsy cheep metal to the cheep plastic clips to the low grade SS degrading after one years use. I didn't see the value in them especially at their price points so my faith in their new grills is low but I always try to keep an open mind and hope to be impressed with something new from them. I am a diehard Weber fan and proud owner of several that I won't part with. Part of me wants to keep any negative words to myself out of my love and respect for the brand but the other part of me wants to help people with my honest opinions from my experiences. They are just that though. Just my opinions nothing more.

If I had to go out and buy a new grill tomorrow I would still buy a Weber knowing what I know. That being said, they offer nothing that would get me to give up my current grill at any price.

I can’t find a picture of it, but instead of just a hole that the tank sits in, there’s a nylon insert with drain holes that the tank sits in instead of just being right on the metal, like the side controlled SP-300 series were.
