I will just leave this here

Oh, it's pretty evident to me from the picture. That seems to happen to that series of grills quite a bit from what I've seen here. Thinner cookbox I imagine than the older ones (big shock there)
Not sure if it's thinner or not, but the 300 series design with the grease tray on the left positions a drip pan fire under the aluminum cookbox, vs in the center of the grill.

That probably makes more sense than just the thinner metal.

It could be a combo of both. I think the melting point of aluminum is around 1200 degrees. So, it is pretty scarey how hot some of these cook box fires can get.

This is a NO in most circumstances. There are way too many pitfalls to rehabbing one of those and if you are doing it to flip and make a buck, it is not a good prospect. A lot of people have picked them up for great prices like that one. However, they almost always become money pits. Parts are tough to come by and expensive. The ceramic coated plates in the cook box where the burners come through tend to rust out and there is no source for replacement. They corrode to the point of being unsafe. The cabinets can be a big source of rust. All the consumables such as flavorizer bars and burners are very expensive to replace. The grates look to be solid rod stainless and if so are probably worth $50 themselves. The shelves can be used on Silver B/C grills. But, in general, they are bad rehab candidates.

Just curious. Is this a defiant NO to everyone who refurbs in this group?

There is some value on this deal especially if you can negotiate down

$15.00 for 3 exchange tanks. Bonus if they have propane which is getting pricey

$50.00 in parts

$25.00 left in scrap if you pull it apart

If it can be used without spending any money that is great.

If you need parts to get it working be careful

Thanks everyone for your advice. The Summit Gold is very temping, but I will look for something else.

Did anyone notice the modification to the cabinet floor? I wonder if they put a new floor in. I guess I'll never know.

Lance, I noticed that but thought maybe that was just an issue with lighting or something. The photos are not that good. As usual, adds for those grills rarely if ever show the inside of the cabinets...for good reason.

Or the fire box (for same good reason)

$190 asking price for a 3 year old E-410

Anyone in the Tampa bay area looking for a deal here it is.
If it wasn't a 1,250 mile drive, one-way, I'd scoop that immediately.

I just got home with it, waiting for my son in law to come over and help me get it off the truck.
Everything works, all 4 burners fire right up. Needs a deep cleaning! Also got 2 tanks (one full) and a pack of grease trays.

Nice grill. The side tables have no frame support so don’t lift it off the truck by the tables.

Easy grills to work on. Big enough for a whole neighborhood cook.
