I need caster ideas

So thanks to Bruce I am the proud owner of a NG Weber Flame. I had no idea the things were so large and so heavy. I want to add casters to it, but having a brain cramp. The base is cast aluminum BTW. See the photos and idea away. My goal is to raise it and also be able to move it easily without having to lift it

I don't think the frame would shift. It's built like a tank. (like an old Genesis). I thought about bolt in casters (single post with a nut on top) but if you look on top of the leg right where the arrow is that part of the casting makes it hard/impossible

I've got my air compressor on one of the HF dollies and it's really squirrely with all four casters that swivel. I would mount two fixed casters to the rear to make it more stable.

Well a trip to Menard's and mission accomplished. I would have preferred much larger ones, but these are getting the job done. It's just so I can move it around on the deck. Also got rid of the glass crumbles and got the 3/4" smooth rounded glass stones as fire media. They look mahvelous. Two of the casters have brakes (ones in front).

Looks beautiful, Larry. Nicely done.

Btw, what is that grill?? Can you share a full shot?
There are 3 grills on the deck. The Wolf, the Q320 and the Z Grill the Wolf would be what was peeking into the photo on the left. BTW, I was able to get 4 2" hard rubber casters (2 locking), and a pack of stainless steel #14 self drilling screws (3/8" head). They cut right into the bottom casting like a champ with my power driver

I would caution about the casters rusting. I found out those plate casters I got from Amazon rust like nobody's business. I made about 10 plant trolleys from PT 1x4s. Easy project. I screwed what appeared to be decent quality casters I ordered from Amazon. One year later...50% rusted solid and needed to be replaced. I sprayed the remainder with PB Blaster and coated them with Fluid Film.

I will keep an eye on them. For the most part the pit will be covered, and it's on wood not concrete. So, hopefully things will be ok
