I'm just 20 blocks down the street from the Drake field house.
Breaded Pork Tenderloins, heck I got lots of favorites! We've been known to do a road trip with in a hour plus drive.

Maid-rites, still the best is Marshalltown!

Bacon wrapped deer loins over the searing flames of super hot fire.
Indirect with a couple of chunks of smoke wood for almost any thing else.
I always stick a temp probe in most everything I cook.
 
You’ll be compelled to look at these pages daily…multiple times. My ties to Iowa are Pella. Been a service tech for 25 years covering Louisiana and Mississippi. Show us some of that Iowa deer searing, I saw a lot of them up there.

A friend of mine has provided several deer loins over the years, wonderful treats. I don’t hunt so, that doesn’t happen like it used to.
 
Welcome Denny! I lived in Cedar Rapids many years ago. Back then it was nicknamed Cedar Rancid
from the odors
from Wilson Meat Packings slaughterhouse just a few blocks from downtown.
