How many butts on top grate of 22.5 WSM?


 
I've heard of people cooking two on each rack but never four on one rack. Are you cooking something on the bottom that would prevent you from using it?

I am still a noob so don't listen to what I say... I'm sure someone will post in this thread that has way more experience than I do!
 
Hey Jason,

I normally target 6 butts per smoke. 3 on top and bottom.

Normally 7-8 lb range, you could probably squeeze 4 per but I like the extra room.


If you have 10lb butts, I would target 3 for the top rack.
