Sorry this is a little long but I thought others may be interested in this email I received from The Original Charcoal Company. It seems Home Depot may be hesitating on stocking Rancher for the long term. Maybe our collective voice can change their mind:

If you are out in your local Home Depot, please ask your store manager to locate available RANCHER briquette in the other HD stores, and have the manager ship it to your local store. Just curious. Has anyone tried their Lump? It appears from their website that the same company sells a lump charcoal as well.

As for the rancher briquette... I couldn't be happier (especially for the price).

Yes I used several years ago. I ordered it online and it was good stuff. I'd rate it right up there with WG, Humphrey's, Ozark Oak, and B&B. If you can get it Locally buy it, you'll like it.

Just picked up 100 lbs @ the $2.99/bag price. I haven't even received my WSM yet but you guys convinced me to stock up on the Rancher. I'll probably go back and get another 100 lbs tonight or tomorrow.
