Hello All,

I am new to this forum and new to the Smoker world. I am a new WSM owner, I just purchased the 18.5in last Saturday. Much to my wife's reservations I proudly brought it home and set up that night. Sunday was my first attempt in the world of smoking and I have to say, I was very happy with the whole process and the outcome. I have added pictures below. My first smoke with a rack of extra meaty spare pork ribs following the "best ribs" recipe here on the forum. I did modify it and used a chipotle rub instead to add some spice! Pictures below. I would love any advice you can offer, my next smoke this week end is chicken legs, thinking of a brisket maybe the following weekend.

Thanks,
Alex

Welcome Alex! You started off right, we love pictures. Those ribs look mighty tasty!
My biggest advice is to get a quick read thermometer, and keep a log of all your cooks. This will help you remember what you did right, and stop you from repeating mistakes. It looks like you're off and running! Great first cook my friend!

Thanks everyone! I love pictures too, I took many pictures through out the process, including the one below of me cooking on both grills at the same time. Made me feel like a pro! I have a log book started too.
