Lots of names for it but one I saw was "bottom sirloin tip" . Never knew there was a "top sirloin tip" let alone bottom. I know about top sirloin but definitely not the same as top sirloin tip.
If you can find just plain ol' "sirloin tip", that might fit the bill. I made some in a Chinese "beef and broccoli" stir fry. Excellent flavour and nice and tender when cut properly.
Choice was $4/lb here last week so probably $3/lb or less for you.
