Youngest daughter gave me some Yoshi copper grill mats for Christmas several years ago. Used once and they're either packed away somewhere or I gave them away. Useless IMO.

OTOH. Miriam has some silicone mats that she uses for baking and loves them.

My wife was using them for awhile to make fried eggs for sandwiches on the grill. They work good.

My wife uses them for baking in the oven. They work, but I would not use them in any grill.

PTFE & cloth? No way I'd expose that to direct heat grilling. Maybe in a smoker, but that'll prevent smoke from penetration from below.

Now, Silpats for baking.... yeah, those are highly useful.

Looked at my old orders. Bought this one in 2016 and probably have not used or seen it since 2016. All I remember is burgers would just lay there in grease like frying them in a pan. May have been alright for salmon, but a griddle is better

These have been around for a long time in various forms, never impressed me as something I'd want or use.

Yah, PTFE is related to PFAS. Definitely not something you want to be exposed to and certainly not with food heated up on it.
