Grillight: excellent customer service

Several years ago I was given a set of grillight BBQ tools as a birthday gift. I like that they have an LED flashlight to light up my winter grilling, and I use the tongs and spatula all the time.

The spring in the tongs broke around Christmas. I looked into replacing the spring and thought I'd ask them what size/strength it was since there are lots of springs out there. I sent an email to the address listed on their website, got a reply the next day asking for my mailing address and they would send a replacement. I was expecting a spring, yet a few days later to my surprise I received a replacement set of tongs.

Awesome !

I thought I'd share the excellent customer service here, and also recommend these for anyone that has poor lighting at their grilling spot.

These look awesome......
I grill half the year in a very hard to see location......
I have bought rechargable lights but the angles needed to see the grill while cooking are hard to make visable.
These pages make me buy things.......all of you are enablers.

I highly recommend the tongs and spatula.

I was given a set of four which included:
Tongs: Use the most
Spatula: Use second
BBQ fork: rarely use
BBQ brush: rarely use

batteries last a long time and the flashlight part is easy to remove so the tools can go into the dishwasher.

#ENABLEOTHERSTOSPENDTHIERMONEY :D

Here's a pic showing the tools and an Oxo 12 inch tong for size comparison.

note that the batteries are held in a carrier that comes out completely. This was great as I had a duracell battery leak and I was able to remove the battery carrier and clean it up with some vinegar.

You're just now coming to this conclusion? :ROFLMAO:

No no......I have thought this for a long tima and even played along.......I'm jus starting to blame people for it now........;)

I bought so much stuff I honestly have no room left.......zero......not for any new grills or any new toys for grills.....heck I don't even have any more room for more than the 25 bags of charcoal I have now.....apparently I would think I need more charcoal.

Sounds like you need some extra space. :coolkettle:

I do want extra space......
I want to move....they way that they made things now is that is not possible for me to move...not with my sanity anyways.....
I want to do something along the same idea as Chuck....for a long while now too......
You would think if you paid off your first house and then you would have lots to sell and get a new place with a small mortgage....upgrade one may say........yeah right......
I can sell my house now for 3 times what I paid for it.......but.......the next house ( using averages ) would put me into a mortgage at about 3 times what my original mortgage was......
So if I put ALL the money down towards the next house purchase.....I am going to be somewhere in the neighbourhood of a half million dollar mortgage.....this is something I cannot deal with at this stage in my life.........
The dream is gone??????
Just ranting.....
But yes I need more room for some stuff.......

Moving isn't in my plans for a while so I need to work with my space constraints.

I need to start by getting rid of stuff. Moving forces you to make choices on what to keep and move. I should do a practice run and try reduce my stuff by half.

So, does anyone want a kettle or a Silver B or a front control genny 310?

I want that maroon Genesis Platinum lid, we'll talk in the spring. The odds of me finding one in the wild are pretty slim and I really like it for a restoration.

That's awesome, Dan. They must be well-liked because they're currently unavailable.

Regarding the button; do you have to hold it down for light, or is it click on, click off?

Heck, I might just duct tape a mag light to my tongs!
YES, this place is full of enablers! Dan says I need a 22” WSM! That’s way more room to occupy than I can store! Ive already bought a small shed, unless the walnut tree falls on the garage and will allow the construction of a bigger garage, I don’t think I’m going to have room for another flashlight!

I sympathize with you Dan-I just went through downsizing and parted with my Performer kettle. Seems they're getting harder to sell as folks strive for simpler/easier.

the kettles were rescues and don't owe me anything. I may plant basil in one this summer.
