Grilled chicken Fettuccine Alfredo on the grill, what was I thinking?

Yesterday, I got in the mood to make fresh pasta, after giving away my pasta machine earlier in the year, so I had to make it by hand all the way. Wanted to make a alfredo dish and then decided to do it all on the grill......maybe not such a great idea without enough tabletops to hold everything needed, well, next time, only chicken outdoors.........only got a few pics as when it was time to bring it together, the pasta, and the sauce required full attention so no pics during the late stage.....

Got all the stuff ready to go, pot on gas eye ready for the pasta, grill ready for the chicken. Since the wife doesn't eat pasta, only did enough pasta for one, that's it by the tongs.

Chicken is almost cooked and cream and butter on to heat up. Started to use a pot then realized that the handle was not oven approved so quickly switched to a small CI. This is when the stirring and cooking pasta required all hands on deck and failed any more pics until plating up. I love alfredo sauce and this time was no different.

Plated up with the chicken cut up into strips and sauced with a few parsley flakes, and extra parma on the dish. Very very good.

Now, I'm thinking, I need to build an outdoor kitchen...........hmmmmm.......................d

nah you don't need an outdoor kitchen.
comes from a guy in Missouri:rolleyes:what does he know;)
Looks Terrific to me David! Outdoor cookin' would be here in this place year round if the cold & snow wasn't a factor... who Needs an INDOOR kitchen otherwise, Paul?

David you were thinking..." I am a TVWBB member and can cook anything outside"!! I love it! Really like to see these unique cooks modified for grill cooking!

Great work!! I bet it was fantastic!

Your title drew me in like a magnet. Impressive cook and love that you hand made your pasta. Awesome job Dave!!

You've got talent, I'll be lookin for you on "iron chef".

Yea, right! Maybe in the hour they do 6+ dishies, I could do.............one?

I'm like Jim Lampe (without a pigvilion, of course) cooking outdoors is fun, but without the spice cabinet, a sink, lots of countertop, it is really difficult to do a complete meal with so many "food & cookware" items needed.........In the summer here in Florida, with the heat and high humidy, I'm sweating up a storm during some cooks, fans or no fans. And yep, in many of your territories the winters are even more difficult environments, at least I don't have to sweep snow off my grill.................................d
