Hi everyone,

My name is Katie, and my husband Tim and I are new to the BBQ world. I bought him an 18.5" WSM as a thank you gift a couple weeks ago and think I may be into this more than he is. So far this website has been my bible, and I'm excited to keep trying new things and learning as we go.

I too am new. This website is great for ideas and confidence going into smoking. But I've found the WSM makes every cook so easy to make good tasting food.
 
Katie great see a woman on the site, this is a great site to help you get started and good place to ask questions no matter how long you have been smoking.

Nice to see another lady on the boards. DO NOT be afraid to ask questions. As there is no such thing as a dumb question.

There some real pros on here who can, & will be more than happy to, help you along the smoking road. :)
 
Welcome to the forum. I was wondering if grilling and smoking is done differently in the higher altitudes than down here.
