Wow, what's going on here in West Michigan? Not only has a Smoky Bones opened, but now we have a Famous Daves. And, to top it all off, we have a KCBS championship happening in a couple of weeks. You southern boys better watch out, one of these days West Michigan will rule the bbq roost!

Oh please, let it be the week we're out on the west side for vacation, first week of August.

Sorry Dave, it takes place July 22nd and 23. Its part of the "Taste of Grand Rapids" celebration. It will be held at John Ball Park/Zoo. I believe the address is 1300 West Fulton. Should be a good time, with a lot of other restaurant vendors showing off their wares, along with the comp. I plan on going down both Friday and Saturday.
