Just a little guy but big enough for everything I am going to throw at it.
New Ridgeline Black Edition.
Only 4 colours to choose from so this was the most user friendly.

Took the MRS for a cruise last night...this is a major upgrade from my previous gas sipper which is there in front of the truck and that is 20 years old this year.
Sold the car in 2 days after posting it....that was a good deal as well.......
Time to get a dog for riding in the back.....and something to hang in the back window?

Had to chop this picture down a bit but my favourite is the rear decals I ordered in from Honda.

So from factory the word ridgline is imprinted in the tailgate, so I orderd the kit where I replace the chrome " HONDA " badging....bottom left with a black Honda badge....it matches all the other black stuff and then the Ridgeline word is a thicker material that fits right in the impression on the tailgate.
It really makes it stand out compared to a regular tailgate....2 pics mine and then what stock looks like from an online picture.

Thanks for all the compliments fellas, it's like driving luxury ( although it isn't ) compared to what I was driving before.
A new price for the car before was a 2005 and had a window sticker with automatic for $16,600.....it is now sold and went to a great home.
The ride qualtiy is out of this world improved and like I said this truck has a lot of toys on it.......the electric gear box selector is extremely hard to remember....I park the truck and start grabbing my stuff and then I can forget that I haven't put it in park yet.....bad things could happen!
I miss the gear selector the most.

Hard to find a good picture but here is one from the Honda website.

Honda makes quality products .
Well it's the 4rth almost 4rth brand new one in our driveway over the past while.
My take on the Honda......

I grew up in a GM family....I owned many...had problems with a bunch.......loved them for the most part....had a sweet Camaro
Had some Fords but nothing crazy like a Mazda or a Volkswagon....all these crazy imports and such.
Back to the Honda's....
We owned a few and put miles on them...my wife's first new purchased Honda we had she owned for 14 years and put about 325,000 on it.
Never sat in the shop for any reason other than regular maintenence.....My gas sipper mentioned above with the pics I got almost new. Never spent a day in the shop either. My wife is now on her second new Honda.....it turned 4 years old the day I picked up the Ridgeline......never spent a single day in the shop.........
How I feel about everything.
I felt like the new Sierra I went to test drive was loaded with technology.....had nicer seats.....it actually amazed me sitting inside. But I know what is going to happen about 3 years down the road....I have been there....
I feel the Honda may not be the sharpest car......or the most tech advanced......but they are indeed the most reliable brand I have ever owned.
Now I find they do look pretty good...its just a general thought...some of them are fugly like the current Accord model....YUK.
I do like the look of the " face lifted " Ridgeline they really moved it to look more like a truck than the release of this gen back in 2017...back then they reminded me of a minivan....
Reliability to me apparently is more important than just having the most flashy stuff......

Yea the push button selector takes some getting used to. It's been a little over a year for me and I still mess up.
One thing on mine is the vehicle automatically shifts into park when you open the door. I have a driveway gate and there has been times when I thought I pushed P but hit one below R.
As soon as I opened the door ( to close the gate ) it shifted to park and told me on the screen.
You gonna put a cover on the back?

Probably not, I don't see a reason to put a tonneau cover on if that is what you were asking.
Being mid size and this Honda model in particular does not have a really deep box on it....so having a cover on it would allow a very low amount of head space between the box and the cover.
It does however have a really awesome lockable......trunk?.....it has a drain hole in it so in family mode it is noted as a cooler.
Back in day one this truck was being touted as a family machine with the cooler in the back, a 110 volt outlet and speakers for the music in the box.
A camping machine one would say.
Said cooler / trunk.

That truck will likely go 400K maybe 500K before giving you any problems. But you do have to faithfully do the timing belt, because if it breaks and you drop a valve....Well, you'll wish you had faithfully changed the timing belt

This is excellent advice Chuck.
My gas sipper...noted above also had a timing belt......timing belt failure is detrimental.
I changed the timing belt at 10 years on that because I could not get to 160,000 in a years time. I should check the maintnence on this engine. It is the same 3.5 that they have been using for a zillion years but now it has more cams...mild changes I guess you could say.
I have a feeling it is the same 10 years or 160,000....................or in the US 100,000.
I just know it will be at 10 years for me to change it.

My family get togethers look like a Honda commercial less my 2001 Silverado 3500 sitting in the background that I still love.

I remember when cars and trucks died before 10 years or 100,000 miles.
I think 300,000 is the new 100,000 and I refuse to buy anything that won’t last 300k.

At my current rate of driving this truck will last me 20 years until I have to do the second timing belt change on it.
Any vehicle I own after that is probably going to be my last.
