Good read, thanks for the link. Read his book "Smokin' with Myron Mixon" a couple months ago, and aside from some shameless self promotion, it had plenty of good info and smoking recipes.
 
piling in on this one...the link is worth bookmarking, so you can come back to it again and again. Check out some of the videos, like Stage's Dinosaur BBQ in of all places, New York City. That guy rocks, and knows how to smoke Q and cook

But Mixon is right...there is no such thing as regional BBQ anymore. Look at all of the good competition teams in CA<LOL>

Years ago, when we lived in Detroit, there was this Mexican place down by the Windsor bridge (Mexican Village). We ate there sometimes twice a week and were in tight with the maître d (Delbert Rojas). Anyways we complimented him once (amongst many times) and was saying, "we can't get this anywhere else"...Delbert's reply-"with the right people, you can do this anywhere", and he was right, just like Myron
