Good Asian Wing Marinade with few Ingredients


 
How about this one?

Chinese Barbecued Wings

2 1/2 lbs. wings
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 large garlic clove, chopped
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
1/4 cup mirin or dry sherry
2 tsp minced fresh ginger
1/2 tsp. five spice powder

Marinate for 2 hours.

That’s a great recipe. I’d add some chili flakes for just a very small kick. Good choice, @Joan.
 
There are a lot of different options there:
Thai/Vietnamese fish sauce, chili, garlic, lemon or lime juice. Add ginger if you want, lemon grass, turmeric
For Indonesian/Malay: take out fish sauce and use sweet soy instead. Add a little shrimp paste for a real unami bomb

Chinese:
Oyster sauce, garlic, a little chili, ginger.
Maybe some shiaozin (spelling?) rice wine.
Add black bean paste in place of oyster sauce for a variation or use both
