Soaked the thighs in a bath of Soy Sauce, Balsamic Vinegar, Brown Sugar, Garlic, Ginger and Red Pepper flakes for about 6 hours.

Thighs on the plank and glazed every five minutes

Thighs took about 40 minutes indirect at 400.

Enjoyed tonight's blue skies

Thighs off and the carrots are on. Carrots were glazed with butter, honey, orange zest and balsamic vinegar. The carrots were blanched prior to going into the glaze.

Carrots were on the grill direct for about 5 minutes

Plated with an appropriate brew

I thought the chicken was very good I'd been craving this flavor profile, the Lady of the House thought the chicken was a little "one-note" and could name 3 other chicken recipes that I grill that she likes better. The Lady of the House really liked the carrots which is huge because she really doesn't like cooked vegetables.

After the plates were clean it was time to fire up the gasser for this dessert

Thank you all for looking

Beautifully done Jim. That chicken looks so delicious. Your Strawberry dessert is so nice. Great job. Liked your sky shot. Where's all your smoke. We had another brown sunset tonight.

The chicken looks great to me. I like the way you did the carrots. Will have to try that because we all like carrots. I love how your chicken looks. And like you I think that flavor is really good. Nice job!
