Genesis Restoration one of the Twins

Safe travels Larry
Thank you. Everything went very well. Literally just walked in the door about 30 min ago. Surprise my daughter asked us to take the kids with us. As if we're not tired enough :D
The BZ gave me more and more confidence every mile. Even after running about 80 all the way home, it still got here with over 40% battery left and I honestly forgot how many miles total. But it did exceed expectation and we had a VERY smooth and very quiet ride. So comfortable and all for about $4 worth of electricity.
Everything else went well as well. Even made some amends with a cousin I'd thought was long mad at me but she and I had a good heart to heart. Happy for that. Everyone had a great memory. One of my cousins even told a slightly off color joke told by my dad years ago (in church no less) and even the priest about fell over laughing. Though I will not even attempt a repeat here. But suffice to say no lightning bolts came down and vaporized my cousin :D
Anyway all in all a fitting send off to a life well lived right to the end

I'm so glad it was a good day Larry!

Hey Josh, I came across a part that I don't think I have a good spare for although I haven't looked yet. This is the bracket that goes under the side burner that I'm rebuilding at the moment. I started prepping it to paint but if I can find a nice one I would rather go that route even though nobody will probably ever see it.
what grill is that part off of ? Did you find one yet ?

Larry, Like Bruce, I am thankful for good that comes sometimes even in a very hard time. It sounds like it was a fitting time for remembering him and drawing family together.

Also glad your new-fangled e-car did so well for you!

I think when I do the other twin I may leave the lid liner out and clean up the black inside of the lid. I think this one looks ok inside the lid but a nice clean black inside would look better than the swirls on the liner after I wire wheel it.

I think the 3 burner front control gennys may retain heat better with the liner.
I've never had a problem with heat on them but I've never paid attention to the difference of with liner or without so maybe I'll consider keeping the liner then.

Even with the swirl marks the inside of the lid still looks good in my opinion just because it's clean. If it was starting to rot out like older ones do that would be a different story.
Thank you Steve I appreciate your input. I'll definitely consider leaving it in the other twin also then
