I gave a 2016 E310 to friends and I cooked on it a number of times and was not pleased with it for high heat. The 310 has 38K BTU compared to Silver/Gold and x1000s with 36K BTU, but the larger grate size and overall cooker size leaves it lacking in power compared to other grills.I've never had a problem with heat on them but I've never paid attention to the difference of with liner or without so maybe I'll consider keeping the liner then.
I have owned several of all of them from three burners to three burners plus a sear burner to LX with high plus sear on all burners. Once I got an LX with high plus sear on all burners it was my easy favorite over the others. I've given away several three burners and three burner with Sear burner. I think those grills all in all are pretty good grills. I definitely don't feel like the regular 3 burner is lacking but I think the sear burner model is a step up and the LX High+Sear on all burners is another step up and makes the most sense to me but I think Genesis ii grills in general are my next favorite after Genesis grills from 1985-1999. I do think the 330 is great also.I gave a 2016 E310 to friends and I cooked on it a number of times and was not pleased with it for high heat. Besides I agree with others having it cleaned up even with the swirls looks great.
I'm lucky that my area seems to be a win for buying and selling with some decent marketing and negotiating skills and of course make it the best grill available posted. That's easy though because nobody around here cleans their grills before selling and nobody around here wants to buy a dirty grill. They will pay for something that looks like new.Wow, Josh! If I could roll them out like you do, my wife might actually say my Weberitis wasn't such a bad thing!
That's a grand slam home run in my book!I'm lucky that my area seems to be a win for buying and selling with some decent marketing and negotiating skills and of course make it the best grill available posted. Nice problem to have. Do most people where you live at least appear to be normal? You have people give that give away perfectly good grills in nice shape, and other people that pay lots of money for them because you cleaned them up, not to diminish the the nice job you do on them. It's just a little crazy.I have 3 full price buyers 24 hours after listing. The 3rd in line was super bummed so I told him I have a second identical that I'm doing next. He ask me if he could please put a deposit down on the next one. That feels pretty good. I told him not necessary. I'll put him first in line for the second one and told him I won't have a problem selling if he changes his mind.
Buyers are usually nice young seemingly middle class families. I usually grab the ridiculously good deals before other people even see them. I've had them back home within 10 minutes of being posted for sale or free. The market here is full of overpriced grills that are nice grills but full of grease and dirt with terrible pictures and terrible description. Literally nobody here wants to buy a dirty grill and get there hands dirty. They want a spotless grill in like new condition. I think all new SS in the cookbox helps but I haven't tested not doing that. I expect a certain level of quality out of myself and what I put out there for sale. I stand behind my quality on all my builds. There is literally no other competition here for what I do and how I do it. I'm not trying to brag at all I'm just trying to explain how this works well for me over here.Nice problem to have. Do most people where you live at least appear to be normal? I'm sure that explains part of it.Literally nobody here wants to buy a dirty grill and get there hands dirty. They want a spotless grill in like new condition.
You do a fantastic job and that sells everywhere. I have no problem selling and making money on any of the stuff I care to sell myself. I'm going to have to lay low for awhile after I finish this one though, wife is starting to ask questions. There is literally no other competition here for what I do and how I do it. Thank you Steve! I feel blessed to live in an area where with the right tools I can work the market to my advantage. I definitely need to sell off some more stuff to make space. These flips have been going so good that I haven't had a chance to work on my own stuff and I miss it. I have plans for a couple more 1000s that I'm really excited to build and hopefully find more juniors.I'm sure that explains part of it.

Oddly enough, I really don't like the Genesis 2000-4000 models and don't have any. I wouldn't mind a 5000 however. For some other strange reason, I do like this Genesis Gold that I have even though it's a long frame grill as well and has a side burner.Yeah I don't have any emotional attachment to these newer Weber grills. Some are definitely better than others but they're all easy to sell with no attachment. I haven't been able to get myself to sell any of the old stuff I have from 1985 to 1999. I'm going to try and sell a large frame 2000 though. We'll see what happens. If I can't get my price I want for it I'll just give it away to someone who will appreciate it.
I can totally understand and relate. I'm very specific and picky in what I like. 1000s and juniors are obviously at the top of my list. I've only mentioned it a thousand times lol and other than that Genesis ii from 2017 to 2022 are my second favorite. Other than that I have respect for the brand but not much interest in messing with anything else. Other than an odd project here or there like a rare Char Q or a Performer project. But those are the kinds of things I would only want to do once probably.Oddly enough, I really don't like the Genesis 2000-4000 models and don't have any. I wouldn't mind a 5000 however.
