Genesis Restoration one of the Twins

I'm considering getting a new dewalt impact gun just out of curiosity. Mine is a decade old maybe more and it has served me very well but I'm curious about I new one with higher torque and higher speed. I know from the base model to the one I have now is a huge difference and I wonder what the difference would be from my 10 plus year old to a new one with higher specs.
If you wait till Memorial Day they usually go on a pretty significant sale. Same with the bigger batteries.

Actually looks a little more compact than my 10 plus year old XR

Looks like a really nice little unit. I most likely will stick with DeWalt because I have all the batteries and chargers already. They have worked really well for me and taken a beating over the last decade+ without fail.
I didn't mean that particular brand but the type of tool. IDK if DeWalt makes one or not. That was simply the first thing showed up in Google :D

I work at a car dealership from age 11 to age 15. I remember using air tools to clean out the parts cleaner. From what I remember they worked very well. They would be very handy but I would need to upgrade my air compressor. They are able to be a lot more compact.

I just looked into it a little bit and I think that is definitely an excellent option that I have not considered. I think if I did Restorations for a living I would definitely consider this option.

But for multipurpose multifunction I might stick with cordless impact.

Yeah I always used the air powered ones but then because the better battery tools hadn't been invented. I'd love to see a battery one though. I've pretty much worn out my air unit over the years. But honestly you might find the form factor easier to work with and work into tighter areas. If I see one I'll post up a link on it. Otherwise gotta go sign off for now.
Today is dad's funeral and it's like a 60 mile drive in for me. Gotta leave in a bit. Wish me luck :D I am gonna "go for it" in the BZ4X (battery all the way :D ) According to ABRP (phone app) I should get there, make it through the procession out to the cemetery, to the restaurant, and back home with about 20% left in the battery pack. Fingers will be crossed :D
Nice thing is there is an EVGo station only a mile from the restaurant so worst case I can top off there before heading home and because of a program with Toyota it's FREE.

I still want to try one of these... I think it would make the wire wheels that much more manipulatable into tight spots

Definitely an interesting idea! I haven't found any areas that I can't get with a variety of wire wheel attachments though. I like this idea though

I wish I could justify an impact after seeing how much better they work that my simple B&D cordless -doesn't have the power. You can imagine how long I labored in the past to get the result I did. Wish I had one when I did the Q320; but with just the little Q and Bullseye, and keeping it clean more frequently, I won't have the need any more. Those buggers are expensive!
