I was wondering how black knobs and ignitors would look and see Bruce has done this before too.

I picture a SS Redhead with all black trim, including firebox and endcaps, retrofitted with wood tables, either slats or solid with the SS inserts.

I'd also like to know if anybody has had any luck dying those grey tables? A blackout Redhead Platinum!

If my memory serves me properly, Bruce has tried to dye the thermoset stuff as well as the durawood. None of it took the dye.

That is true, cody, but i'm not sure about the tables on a platinum. They are not really thermoset

We need a broken Platinum table or a piece of one. It could end up in one of Bruce's dye batches as a test! With black tables we could call it the Aussie edition.

I have dyed the whitish colored Spirit lid handles.

I am not planning another batch this year. Maybe next year though. I still have a pretty good stash of black knobs and handles.
