After a once over soaking in dawn and bleach. Still have not cleaned the SS inserts yet.

After washing the shelves I was left with a white haze on SS. Tried some Stainless-Steel cleaner spray, but it did not clear it up. I suppose only BKF will resolve my issue.

Do you all think soaking these trim caps in bleach will bring them back to life?

I think the comments are true that with enough time and effort you can bring those back. If that grill were other than a Platinum, I would suggest trying the Rit Dye technique and making them black.

If somehow you can't make them look good by cleaning, you could also paint them the light gray that I believe is called "Stone gray." Going with an almost identical color will buy you time before you would have to repaint. To me, it would be worth it if you can't get the stains and fade cleaned and shined up.

Bleach and dawn works best for a prolonged soak. I’d be careful with the SS insert tables. But the plastic end caps can handle a few days of soaking.

I think Samuel is done with the tables since they are already back on the grill. I honestly don't think the stainless inserts would have suffered from a thorough soak and the way to do it would have been to use bkf on those inserts while they were soaking them rinse when done.

I think Samuel is done with the tables since they are already back on the grill. I honestly don't think the stainless inserts would have suffered from a thorough soak and the way to do it would have been to use bkf on those inserts while they were soaking them rinse when done.

I only wonder what they’re held on with and if bleach would degrade it. I wouldn’t think so. I’d rather find out on an old, junk one.

I've been wondering how those panels are attached too, thinking I could restore them more easily separate from the table. I don't have any extras to try, thinking I'm short one already. I bet somebody here has separated one or found it that way.

I am pretty certain it would take some extreme patience and skill to separate them without mangling the SS piece. I am guessing the adhesive is some pretty good stuff. Unless a guy could get a piece of fishing line under an edge and saw it off. I would say piano wire, but I think that would damage the plastic. Unless I come across one that is extremely wrecked, I won't be trying it out lol
