Look up Ipe Ironwood "Brazilian Walnut" if you want the most weatherproof resilient longest lasting marine grade wood. This is the stuff. It's hard as a rock and feels as heavy as Steel and last virtually forever. It is not cheap though. People use it to build high-end decks for their homes and sometimes they put their leftovers up for sale on Marketplace which is where I get it from.I would think among Josh, Steve and Jon you sold have all the insight you could want. I think they mostly use the same products.
This got me thinking, scary I know. Marine grade wood, is that just plywood? Or are there other marine grade woods?
