Rotisserie in the works?
Yes I'm pretty sure they do also. I don't think I would use one though.Well, I do know they make rotos for them. I am pretty sure the one I gave Jon had a roto on it.
Great job. Your frame looks new… deep black and almost shiny. My SSP frame has a slight film of gray from age. How did you get yours so nice looking. Did you polish the factory finish or repaint the frame? This has been one of my favorite projects. As you can see this one was in excellent shape before I started. Picking it up for $60 was $ well spent. Excellent little grill and after using it I like it as much as my 1000s which have been my favorite grills. I still think the 1000 is my favorite if I could only have one grill but I bet this Jr. gets used the most for the rest of my life.

Thanks. I’ll try to polish the black frame of my Gen 1 Performer SSP sometime closer to Spring. Hopefully I can bring out a deep black shine like you did on your beautiful restoration. Thanks Mike!
That is the factory finish. Not repainted.
First I use this non abrasive rubbing compound and then after I go over it with this wax. These are excellent products. I have tried most brands. I rub them on and off by hand. As I do things this way most of the time but you could definitely use a power buffer. Otherwise rub hard and really work it in good.
For SS frame I would use Mother's polish and then wax instead of rubbing compound.

Yep, one thing really nice about the Wolf. I can throw down a lot of pizzas on it at onceFor my family it's mainly when I'm making 3 pizzas from scratch on the grill I need at least 2 grills so I can do them all at the same time. We do this often. Cooking one at a time wouldn't be the end of the world but it sure is nice to do them all at once.
I bet that works great!Yep, one thing really nice about the Wolf. I can throw down a lot of pizzas on it at once
Actually does. Except I've now discovered at least experimenting with frozen pizzas my pellet grills are actually even better. They may not get as hot, but I think the combination of the heat they do produce along with the convection action they really produce a helluva pizzaI bet that works great!

I really need to get myself an impact driver. I'm just not quite getting the results you are on those grates and I know it's not for lack of effort on my part. This is what I used to finish the wood slats on the Jr.

I think I may use this same finish on one of my upcoming coming Genesis 1000 builds. I think it will work very well with my gray lid.
I agree with Larry! Experimenting on frozen pizzas myself on the new Bullseye, the flavor is great and that thing has real high heat potential I can probably do them up better than in an oven. 2 at once no problem. That's fantastic! I'll have to experiment with them at some point!
I think I mentioned before that I bought a second DeWalt impact driver for Arizona but it wasn't an XR model which is their top performing series. Well the lower model is less powerful with less rpms and I can say it didn't work out at all so I believe you. It's definitely not lack of effort on your part. I know you are a skilled craftsman with high level capabilities.I really need to get myself an impact driver. I think that's it exactly, my Ryobi drill just doesn't put out the RPMs I really need for the grates and the cook boxes for that matter. I also have a Ryobi grinder that's kind of the same deal, just not enough oomph to really do a good job.I think I mentioned before that I bought a second DeWalt impact driver for Arizona but it wasn't an XR model which is their top performing series. I'm excited to see another restoration from you. Hopefully you can find a good candidate in the spring.I think that's it exactly, my Ryobi drill just doesn't put out the RPMs I really need for the grates and the cook boxes for that matter. Love grilling pizzas. I definitely will experiment more. I also want to try a smoke tube just in general.I agree with Larry! I've already got my eyes open for the right candidate, but yeah, it will probably be in the spring before I find the one.I'm excited to see another restoration from you. Hopefully you can find a good candidate in the spring.
This is the lid that comes to mind when I think of a good option for your next grill restoration.I've already got my eyes open for the right candidate, but yeah, it will probably be in the spring before I find the one.
