Don't get me wrong, I would have loved to be able to just blow that burner out with compressed air and wipe it down but of course it didn't work out that way. I have a ridiculous amount of time invested in it but looking at the after does make me happy.

I love the little details and they all add up! The porcelain on that sideburner looks to be in great shape, and great work on shining up the valve.

There's only so much you can do with the porcelain panels, but I did it all. I scrubbed it clean, applied a coat of turtle wax, and then scrubbed the wax in with fine steel wool twice. Buff the panel with a microfiber towel until it shines. Here's the control panel that I gave the same treatment to. It definitely has a little fade to it but there isn't anything else I can do except look for a better panel if it ends up bothering me too much.

I would take a bit of fade over the edge chips/rust that are also aggravating.

You can steel wool the rust off of those and touch them up with Testor's enamel model paint. Get a a little jar of black and white for when it eats into the white border.

True. It's also probably not going to be as noticeable in natural light vs. the bright white LED light in my garage.
