I like them too Dan, I originally was going to gray on gray, but since I have the correct black trim pieces, I will keep it blacked out.

I've always like the maroon lids and with the blackout --- it looks even better!

Bruce, is that aluminum sheeting on the bottom? If so, how did you mount it to the bottom?

I welded in the front and back cross members and then cut the sheet aluminum slightly smaller than the outside measurements L and R. Then, I simply revited it to the bottom of the cross members with 1/8x1/8" aluminum rivets.
