That stinks. It looked like it was going to bad from your original pictures. Are any of those frame pieces interchangeable with a Silver B, or all different?

Thanks Bruce.Samuel, I can send you a couple. I don't know of a source for them, but if there is one, it is probably not cost effective.
Yeah, you can't even buy those anymore.Samuel, I can send you a couple. I don't know of a source for them, but if there is one, it is probably not cost effective.
Or he did keep it covered all the time and that's what caused the bad rust. It's hard to say for sure.I can tell by all the rust I am encountering that the OP did not ever cover his grill and left it to the elements of the weather. So Sad.
Yep, those are clues the sun has been beating down on it for twenty years. Still, I'm surprised at all the rust since you're in Texas. The main reason I suspected it was uncovered a lot because the condition of the trim and the black lid and black control panel porcelain are all speckled.
I think I have a nice 2 burner control panel in my stash if you are in need. I am pretty sure it is from the newer A's with the longer valve sweeps. The main reason I suspected it was uncovered a lot because the condition of the trim and the black lid and black control panel porcelain are all speckled.
