This just dropped into my Inbox this morning. Not seen this before. Anyone in the US have any skinny regarding "use in the wild?"

I have several griddles or planchas like that - that fit on a 22" weber. Mine don't have the handles sticking up like that. I like mine that are flat. Mine have holes in the steel that you can use to lift and carry. They also let hot air escape. Are those air holes I see? If they are, is it wise to put air holes on only one side? I would think storage with those handles would be cumbersome. I'd want to know what they're made of, and I'd want to know how thick they are. I'd also like to see some reviews. Looks like cast iron. Cast iron is good, but tends to have hot spots if the coals underneath aren't spread evenly. Mine are made of carbon steel. Is it perfectly flat, or is it slightly convex shaped? On mine, one is a quarter inch and the other is three-eighths of an inch. The latter weighs like 45 lbs, but it's a 24". SnS sells a nice thick half-moon cast iron griddle that fits a 22" kettle.

I would think the handles would be a plus for things like moving the heavy griddle around, switching to regular grill grates mid cook, being able to add coals, etc.

........Cast iron is good, but tends to have hot spots if the coals underneath aren't spread evenly. Mine are made of carbon steel......
The email I received, from a retailer, states that it is cast-iron. But the Weber (US) website says it's carbon-steel. Weber (UK) says it's porcelain enamelled cast-iron. Take your pick. 🤷‍♀️
The handles are stainless steel. The holes you see are grease removal slots.
