front panel

Joe, those are getting tough to come by. Most of them have the severe "weber fade" after 25 plus years. I have several I could give you but they all have the fading going on. Plus, shipping is a killer these days.

Oh.....dang. I thought we were talking about the control panel on the right. Sorry guys.

The 3 sided panel from a 00-01 Silver B will fit and looks like it belongs
if we are talking Genesis 1000 and Genesis Silver B, the control panels are not interchangeable. The valve spacing on the x000s is wider than the Silver B.

If you are looking for the front manifold shield, I happen to have one.

I just renovated my 1993 Genesis 1k.

I misplaced the front panel many years ago but had this from a later model and it bolted right in

Someone here once fabbed up a set of those. At least this is a part that can replicated pretty easily by someone with the right tools.

I just made one last week out of a piece of scrap aluminum. My tabs were not quite as long as the template but that was as wide a piece as I had. Haven’t drilled the holes or painted it yet. Got the PDF template from Joel Young in the link below. He made the PDF downloadable in the actual size.

Interesting Richard, definitely show us some pics of it painted and installed!

Hank, have you tried this? Everything I've heard is that the spacing of the holes is different and they won't line up.
Yes. Everything lines up
The panel which does not fit is the one found on 02-03 silver b, which hooks into slots in the legs, rather than bolting to them.

Those wrap around panels use bolts behind the front and back vertical frame legs to secure them. They don't use the same tabs as the small panels. That could be they are the same on the Silver B's and 1000's where the smaller panel is not. Either that or the larger wrap around panel is designed for the 1000.

I am not sure what model the new shroud I attached came from, but it looks pretty good to me.

Here are some photos of the underside for reference about fitment

Yah, those wrap around panels are nicer than the simple front panel. They hid a lot more. However, getting to the mounting bolts is a PIA behind the frame legs.

Here is a photo of a Silver B rehab that I did that has the wrap around panel on it. So, it does seem to be a dual fit panel.

The wrap around panel from a 2000/2001 silver B will fit a 1000.

The wraparound panel on a 2002 Silver B is different and the frame is also different. Instead of bolts holding the panel to the frame legs there are slots in the frame and the panel has a tab that slides in to the slots.
