Greetings All! Just hooked up with VWBB by accident. Googled "how to clean Weber Performer table" and found many solutions here in the forum. Thanks. Now that I'm here, I thought I would stay awhile. About me: Life long Weber charcoal kettle griller. Got my first in the "70s and never looked back. With the exception of short adulterous affair with a Holland Grill in the 90s, I still used the kettle as backup. Fast forward to 3 years ago when I moved to Lincoln where I found a bbq island in the back yard with a broken gas grill. I replaced it with an AOG 36 grill and invited some neighbors over for some ribs. They asked how did I get the smokey flavor on the ribs on that grill. I said I didn't and pointed out my 22" Performer. "You have two?" they exclaimed! "No, I have 4", I replied. Well last year I retired my well used Q Series gas q and now have the Performer, a 22" OTS, and the AOG. I know, 3 is a little light, but I'm thinking of adding a WSM in the future which will bring me to the universally accepted and highly approved 4 grills. When the time comes, I'll have someone on the forum talk to my wife.

Cheers,

Peter

Welcome from browns valley just up the road a bit from ya. Lincoln is a cool place. I hung out there before dell Webb and the only things in town was the hardware store, the rodeo arena and the rainbow market. In fact I used to work cattle at the Farerri Ranch before it was Farerri Ranch Blvd. ;) anyway i digress...welcome to the site. Good luck on your WSM Purchase the only tough part will be figuring out which size, perhaps one of each:D

Welcome Peter!

In the 1990s I used to fly into Lincoln for meetings in Roseville when I worked for HP. Also attended some of the Longs Drugs Challenge LPGA golf tournaments at Twelve Bridges. (Is that now called Catta Verdera Country Club?)

Nice area, sure has grown a lot over the years!

Thanks Dustin. Yeah, Lincoln has grown a lot since your bronco bustin' days. Still hot with fires on both sides of us right now. Watch your fires as I think you've been spared so far.

Thanks Chris. Catta Verdera CC is just outside our community. Nice course. Nice Bloody Mary's. I retired from IBM at Cottle Rd. and moved from Morgan Hill. Ahhh, the good old days of Silicone Valley...

Welcome to the forum Peter, looking forward to your cooks. Why not get your wife involve with the outside cooking, it's lots of fun and then the next BBQ will be easy to come by. You just have to look at Rich and I we have 9 BBQ's and we use them all.
