Friday Filet

On the east coast all week for business. Looking forward to a home-grilled meal. Lauren brought home some fat filet mignon to grill! Found some Stubb's beef marinade in the cupboard, and I thought, "why not?"

My bride and sous chef par excellence prepped the peppers and onions.

Green, red, and yellow bell peppers, onion and a jalapeño from the back yard.

Steaks getting a sear.

First two at target temperature and resting. The other two need a couple more minutes indirect.

Now the peppers and onions getting happy.

Ready to eat with a nice cab! Filets were perfectly medium rare.

I don't think I have a chance with 2 young men in the house, let alone the travel and my funny little honey here. Looks great Dale, we luvs a good steak. We feel in love with the Delmonico, our favorite. My problem is, I'll eat anything moving slow enuff to fork. Nice steaks and luv the fresh garden veggies.
