Friday Evening Steak

after work Friday Cocktail Time started with a radish martini... out of cucumbers

seasoned a pound & a half sirloin steak with the same stuff i use for tri tip

got the large Weber kettle good n' hot and tossed on some large 'bella 'shrooms

minutes later, followed by the steak

thats some red oak chunks beneath the beef

and a few more minutes later, the 'bellas & the beef was done

then served with skillet baked red taters and zucchini with a nice Cali Pinot Noir

...the beef was cooked medium rare. . . perfecto in this home.

Most excellent looking! I do love my steak a bit more rare. Those NY Sirloins are great for a family dinner IMHO. They are full of flavor if you don't cut away all the fat, reasonably tender, and you can get 2 generous portions out of a 2 lb steak.
 
Nothing like coming home on Friday evening after a busy week and whipping up a cocktail. My Friday wound up being a Cao Ila single malt on the rocks night.
 
Looks good. We used to drink the heck out of that Angeline, but they stopped carrying it our regular store. I'm gonna have to look around for it.
