Fresh Ham help

Hello group, sorry but it's been months since my last post and it's good to be back. I am planning to smoke a fresh ham shank for Christmas which I have never done before. I just ordered a new beast injector from Amazon (through this site of course) and looking for a recipe for a good injection. My other thought is to forgo the fresh ham and buy a cured one and double smoke it but I rather go fresh. I do know I am going to glaze with Chris lilly's spicy apricot glaze, other than that I would like to hear some results of those who smoked a fresh ham. BTW it will be done on my 22 WSM.

Thanks Robert for your reply, after some thought and advice from the boss I bought a ready to cook ham and will double smoke it.
Have to use the new beast injector so my thought now is....
Pineapple juice and Orange juice from my tree in the back yard
brown sugar
ground cloves
Dijon and dry mustard
maple syrup
and still glaze with Lilly's spicy apricot glaze
