Perhaps the only bag of TVWBB lump charcoal known to exist!

OK, I'll fess up, it's Ozark Oak in a generic bag.
I'm lovin' this stuff, pretty consistent medium size pieces, burns clean, and no sparking.

Used it the other night for filet mignons.

Salad on the side.

And the main course of course.

A very nice Monday night supper!

(to be continued)

Yesterday, after the rain stopped, a chicken, marinaded with a homemade b-vin, o-oil, and garlic dressing, was prepared to be roasted at the stake.
The setup:

The bird, with a sprinkle of Old Bay Garlic & Herb.

It's getting green around here, finally!

I let the lump breathe wide open.

After an hour the bird was not done yet, but the coals had burned down, and it was finished off in another 1/2 hr. at the lower temps.

Some spears and crash golds, no brussel sprouts, for sides.

Jo and I agreed, best whole chicken I've made, using any method.

Thanks for stopping by!

Bob that steak looks perfect. Thanks for reminding me..... I gotta get the rotisserie, (aka "chicken machine"), out more often.

Bob that would be 10 stars for 2 5 star meals!! All one can say is.....BRILLIANT!! :) I'll have to look around for some
Ozarks.

My Four short of the Top Ten....

6) Best lookin' Bird By Far, Bob!

You really had me with that authentic looking lump. You must be a natural born con artist.
As usual, the meal was in a class of its own.
