Fishin' Boat

My son is all grown up and now it's time to get back into the hobbies I enjoy (he liked dirtbiking & snowboarding, end of list) I didn't want to spend a bunch of money on a fishing boat because there's a very good chance we'll buy a Pontoon Boat early 2025, but I needed a boat to be able to handle the bay, and when the tides are right, out under the Golden Gate. It's a deep V, it handles it's self remarkably well. It's 50 years old and in top shape. She ain't purdy, but purdy don't catch fish. I pick her up Saturday, I've ordered a downrigger and I'm looking into portable live bait wells. Not sure I'll be able to get her out for Halibut this year, but the Smelt Run is only a couple months away, and right after that is Sturgeon season. And then there's the winter top water fishing at Shasta Lake (my favorite)

Say hello to the Rica Mae

Let us know when you need buddies and gas buyers. Congrats! And enjoy!

We’re in the same phase. Kids are mostly grown so it’s back to doing what I love. And hopefully downsizing the house (very soon).

Oh yeah, we’ll hit the river good, I think you’ll like the Smelt run, great on Pizza, and I’ve got several Sturgeon spots I fished for years. But you’re going to love the top water fishing at Shasta, has to be the best fishing ever
