I did yes.

Just above the bottom. Not going to use the dripping for gravy as my wife dont like smoked gravy.

Temp was steady at 250. I inverted the charcoal door and propped it open, this gave me a steady 300. I guess i need a guru or sumpn.

Took it to the KOA T-Day dinner.

Didnt last long.

Looks good Rick. I found when camping with a WSM I needed wind protection and a Guru. The guru runs off a jumper battery for a long time.
