First Cook on CI Grates

Got my CI grates a couple weeks ago and finally had halfway decent weather to get out and cook.

Wegmans Lump heating up. 4th grate is missing cause one of the edges was broken (waiting to hear back from Craycort):

Ribeye for Dad. Sirloins for the wife and boy #2. Homebrewed single hop (Citra) IPA. Tentatively named Citra A$$ Down IPA:

Plated with Roated Cauliflower, Sundried Tomato and Feta Pasta Salad and a Kalamatta Olive roll:

Scott I realize it's early but what are your first impressions on the C.I.?

Definitely worth it if not for aesthetics alone.
They look awesome but I definitely noticed a more even heat across the grates.
I was able to move my rare ribeye to the indirect side and stayed warm without over cooking.
With having to cook steaks to 3 different donenesses, it wasn't always easy on the standard grates.

I'll report back on customer service when the broken grate issue is resolved, but I've read it's pretty common and they'll replace it without issue.

I love my CIg´s And thats the only grate i use. I like to heat them up and rotate em. Indirect cooking with nice sear marks! And if i ever need i direct sear they will be BURNING hot.

Very nice looking steaks and sides. When I ordered a CI Grate for my 26" grill and couple of my grates were broken too. It was kind of hard to get a hold of him, it took a couple of days, but once I did talk to him he took care of me right away! I have nothing but good things to say about my CI grates.

Happy to say I heard back from Ute in the CS dept at Craycort and a replacement has already been shipped.
