I had to laugh a little at the steak picture. I know you were just starting to cook, but that shiny new grate reminded me of the advertisement pictures with fully cooked steaks, etc. sitting inside grills that obviously had never seen any fire or a drop of grease!

Looks like you had a great maiden voyage !
