FIL did it all. I'm just here to report it.

TVWBB All-Star
FIL had us over this weekend for a cookout and crabs. He steamed a half bushel of crabs while the boys napped. Then he did burgers, baked beans and spare ribs. We don't do things exactly the same, but it was all delicious, and everyone had a great time.

Crabs bought live to steam up ourselves.

FIL does burgers with a lot of seasoning rolled in. Season All, garlic powder, McCormicks "Hamburger", and some other stuff. Uses pretty lean meat. Probably 90/10. Cooks his ribs hot and fast with a bbq sauce he doctors up himself. Sweetens a bbq sauce with mollasses, brown sugar, and a few other things. Beans get some of the same with bacon cooked in as well. Good food and a very blessed family.

Looks like a good time had by all. This brings back fond memories of eating crabs on my grandmothers back porch in PA.

I remember many newspaper covered table days and they were always special and delicious, sorry I missed that one, well done to your FIL

Luke - great meal - crabs & BBQ too? Now that is style my friend. I have been promising the kids we would go catch some crabs soon. You have motivated me to make it happen. How do you cook the crabs? Down here in Louisiana we boil our crabs with crab boil, garlic, onions, lemons, potatoes, sausage, mushrooms and anything else we can find to throw in there...
Regards,

John
