FB Groups are lame. The VWBB is where it's at!

FB groups enticed me temporarily, but old school forums like this are so much better! The questions and comments on this site are from grownups who want to ask real questions and provide real answers.
I love all my Webers and greatly appreciate the moderator and adults who participate in this forum!
Just felt like it needed to be said!

I’m sure my comment should be placed in another space in this forum, but I tend to lurk in the Gas Grill section. Feel free to relocate my post if necessary

You guys are great. I’ve rescued and restored many Weber gas grills over the years with the help of this forum…but I rarely post.
I’m sure there are a lot of folks (like me) that benefit from this group’s knowledge, but don’t post.
FB groups (and others like it) can be easier to access, but they can get childish and petty sometimes.
This group seems much more mature, educated, and helpful.
Just want y’all to know that you’re appreciated.

Some of them truly are. I.E. there is a FB Z Grill 1100 2B group. The so called "owner/operator" is basically a know it all dictator. I.E. he'll indicate the ONLY way to make XYZ work is to do this or that. And then he gets people who don't know better scratching their heads. A good example: getting WIFI hooked up. "oh you have to make a separate network DCHP locked ONLY to 2.4ghz because it's the only way the controller will operate. Yet while it will not hook up to 5 GHz (which the nut job refers to erroneously as "5G" (which is a mobile phone technology) it will work just fine on any "modern" router which will allow an appliance (or "client" to find and lock to it's 2.4GHz signal with no issues at all. And the truly despicable nasty comments and DMs from this clown I've received when I've simply noted to people "give this a try" are nothing short of amazing. In how truly hateful he gets. So that is a group I MIGHT look at once in a while, but do not participate in. Sadly some folks don't play nice with others :D

I really don't like FB except for using the marketplace (with my wife's account, of course), and I don't like the groups there either.
The only other forum I use is home-barista which is run by Dan Kehn in a way very similar to how Chris runs TVWBB.
I love both of my forums!
