Father's Day - seeking inspiration for something that's worth cooking

You do some very inspirational cooks on your own but I've been contemplating a seafood boil, though it won't happen this weekend.
I am thinking something seafood. Either healthy and clean or killing myself with fish and chips. I want to do something where I can put some passion into it. Not complex but complex flavors.

Thank you for your fine compliment. I do have a passion for fire 🔥 and heat.

I usually have steak but we have had beef a lot lately so this year I bought some chicken tournedos to switch things up. My wife and two daughters will supply the sides so I am sure I will enjoy it. 😋

Not cooking this weekend. Wife took me out for Mexican last night. Great al pastor! Daughter's wedding today, so will be eating at the reception and then ex sister-in-law, who's visiting is taking me out to our local brew pub for supper Sunday. Probably do some pork ribs Monday.

Any/all recipes I have posted on this site are WORTH COOKING!!!!!!!!! :ROFLMAO: ;)

DH is cooking himself a FILET MIGNON (what I get is still undecided lol)

A very hearty congratulations on your daughter’s wedding. 👏👏👏👏🎂🍰🧁

I just learned that tomorrow's dinner will be from the grill: Lazy ribs and corn on the cob.

I will cook the meal. It has been a long time since my partner cooked on the grill. She can use it whenever she wants. I think it is more about letting me enjoy being outside, preparing our meals on the grill. Besides, the hard work is in the preparation; the fun part is the grilling. :)

It's decided!

While working up the menu for this weeks meals, DH saw this recipe, "Blue Cheese and Steak Sandwiches". He decided that that is what he wants tomorrow and asked if I would like that also, so I said yes. (here comes the sad part). So, DH just went to take a nap and I picked up the recipe and saw something DH missed. The recipe said after applying the rub, to wrap steak in plastic wrap and chill up to 2 days. I'm hoping 1 day will do the trick.

Local Raley’s has tri-tip on sale. Since it will be Mary and I, today will be smoked tri-tip sandwiches with watermelon fries.
‘Tomorrow I am making brisket chili with buttermilk cornbread.
