Early Generation Performer?

Came across this old weber listing. I've not saw the color before, and the cart looks home made. However I see clips around the edge, which makes me think its originally designed to fit in a cart like the early generation models.

Is this an original color, or does it look painted?

I couldn't tell you if its home made or not , but its cool looking.
Someone on here will chime in and let us know.

Since it's still got its "legs" I have my doubts about the cart being original. I very well could be wrong about that. It's still pretty cool and not an unreasonable price.
I think is a newer kettle, look at the handles, they are a little strange,it has a thermometer, has "one touch" (I don't see an ash catcher but?) and the vent has been painted for some reason. If you want original set up this ain't it but, like I say, still cool.
My hunch is that it's been "rekettled" the table looks like something I might have seen in a pretty old catalog. Or at least based on one.
Maybe just "re lidded"?

That's the cart design I was thinking of.
Is that your collection of redheads, Dave? Very coool!
Maybe I need to start looking for other colors..
In house,
Black 22", Maroon 18", Blue Silver "B", Black "Go Anywhere", Black Smokey Joe.
Maybe I need to seek out a redhead of some delightful figure? Or a yellow?

Oh God how I wish that those were mine. I grabbed it from Google images. I to am pretty color deprived. Mostly black with a green Gen2 and a '72 Red.
