Evening folks...today I decided to cook up some of the stuff we had planned for our camp out that didn't happen...it's ok...everybody was wiped out...my poor wife has been fighting a cold all weekend!! Comfort food!

Oh ya I mentioned everyone was wiped out!!

Ok cooking...chuck roast dinner..a good sized roast on the sear with S&P and garlic!

Then a mixture of mushroom soup, red wine, worst sauce and beef bullion..

Lid temp ran about 275 to 300 the entire time..about 12 lit coals...added 3 or 4 about 2 hours in!
About 3 hours and we ended up with this!

All plated up with salad, mashed taters, balsamic tomatoes and buttered biscuits!! All with a nice rich beef gravy!

Can you please post the cobbler recipe. That looks way better than the one I do in my do

Cobbler recipe as follows:

2 cans of peach pie filling
1 box yellow cake mix
1 stick butter
Cinnamon
Brown sugar

Add two cans of pie filling, sprinkle with cinnamon, dump on the cake mix, sprinkle with brown sugar and add the stick of butter cut up in small bits...

Cook 45 to 1 hour....served up with ice cream!

Ours went about 1 hour with a lid temp of 300!

So impressed with you guys that cook with the Dutch ovens.Very cool. That chuck roast and cobbler look amazing. Well done! Bravo!
 
Morgan as always, looking good! Jim's right, you have it made. :) That gravy is definitely something I'm going to be trying and soon too.
