Door Gasket Seal


 
When putting a door gasket on (lavalock), which is the better way to go? Gasket on the door or Gasket on the chamber around the door?

Or does it not really matter?

Just curious on the opinions.
 
I put my gasket on the door also. Simply because it is so much easier to just lay the door on my work bench and cut and glue on.
 
If you chabge the door you woild not want to have the gasket on the cooker.
There is a pist on here somewhere where a master used gasket sealer to form a seal. Used wax paper to make it perfect.
 
From another poster. Not sure what the best gasket maker is but there are plenty to choose from.

Smear Vaseline lightly around the opening on the shell of the WSM
Clean the door around the edge and apply small red high temp silicone bead to it
Close and latch the door and let the silicone cure
when done you've got a perfect gasket that doesn't take up excess room .

Wipe off the Vaseline
