Does anyone have this RT Shelf and Trim Piece


 
Jim, nearly all the 2005 SS Platinums have the broken welds on the brackets. It is uncommon to find one these days without the shelf drop problem.

Samuel: I too am curious about how you fixed it.

Platinum side Burner delete and shelf repair

Hopefully I gathered the right parts needed. Installed the gas line plug. These are the parts I gathered. Hope they are the right ones for the job. I am waiting on a hole punch to arrive in the mail today so can start drilling.

It probably is not the best way for it is still a little loose but if you prop the shelf up high enough when you drill the hole it, the shelf levels off okay to my liking. I did a better job on the left side then on the right side as you can see.
