Do you have this cookbook by Ray Lampe?

Oh Mark, I have never seen or heard of this book. When was it pub.? It looks very interesting. Thanks for sharing.!!!

Published in 2004. Printed by Meredith books.

I have never seen or heard of it either. 416 pages. It say all of the recipes have been tested by Better Homes and Garden’s test kitchen.
As far as I can tell, it’s out of print but still available as a used book.

I hope you will share if you come across any real good recipes. I just don't have room for any more cookbooks. I'm trying to get them out of my bedroom and into my office, but it's slow making room for them. That's why I'm weeding out the binders full of recipes. I'm surprised how many recipes just don't appeal to me anymore.

Ah true. Think I told you this but I downsized from 400 plus cookbooks to about 20. I get most of my recipes online and keep them in a software package called Paprika. My better!

I did keep some vintage books like Julia Childs Mastering the Art of French Cooking and have 5 editions of Joy of Cooking With the 2 most notable being a 1943 copy given to my mom from my grandma when she came to America after WW2 (1945) and a 1974 copy that was a gift from my loving wife.

You have some great books there. Of course there are books that I couldn't part with, but the odds and ends one are going. (after I print out what recipes I want, or course. lol)

Do you have any by the "Frug"? I could never part with them. And of course the ones by Julia and Jacques and Raichlen and my Weber ones just to name a few.

When it comes to books, I had about a dozen before I ordered Aaron Franklins' Meat Smoking Manifesto. Gave the others to the Church book sale after reading.

Almost 10 months later and I am still working on weeding out my cookbooks. I keep getting sidetracked. Like lately I have been working on a binder I have where I keep grilling/bbq recipes by author (Raichlen and Weber have their own binders.) I am up to the L's. That is why I came across this thread. I never got back to copying recipes out of Lampe's cookbook, still only on pg. 28. Shame on me.

Doggone it Joan, I was planning on simply sending you a box of cookbooks! I’m weeding out things too! Refinishing some floors and as I start, I keep seeing more to be “sorted through“! Apple crates of photos, music, vinyl, CDs, all need to be sorted through. Some cabinets are going to be replaced and things need “new“ homes!

I hope you are joking. lol I know what you are going through. I keep telling DH and DD, when I am gone, do not hate me. I am trying to thin out the stuff as best as I can "BY MY SELF". (just not getting the help I need). As far as music goes, I have every type and can't find a darn thing in the house to play them on. (like old 75's, 45's, LP's etc.) they are in my room somewhere lol I know I should just donate all this stuff, but in this day and age, we could use the money. One of these days, you all will see my "life" on Craig's List ;)

Funny you ask this. I ran into him several years after he did our Q&A and suggested he might come back for another visit, to promote his latest book, etc. He said no, he didn't see the point in doing another Q&A. I think he thought he would just get all the same questions again and it would be too repetitive.
My opinion of him is somewhat not respectable. We may share the same surname, however not the same mentality.
