Daughters graduation party

Had about 50 people over on Sunday for my youngest daughters college graduation party. Was kind of busy and didn't take many pictures of the cook and food but here is what I did take. Did 2 pork shoulders for pulled pork, 12.5 hrs on my WSM 22 lower rack, 3 back ribs for 5 hrs on my WSM 22 upper rack, and 4 big whole chickens beer can style for about 2 hrs on my Weber Summit E670 (yes, I know the beer can and beer add nothing to the cook but I don't have enough rotisserie skewers to do 4 chickens on my Weber Summit rotisserie so I went beer can style and stood the chickens up). The cooks went well and I received some nice complements, even from my daughters friends.

Congrats to your daughter, Ken! Nice spread you put out there.....not surprised you were busy! It's grad party season, and I can only hope one of the parties we go to puts out that kind of grub! :)

Your daughter majored in protein, right?
Ha! Yeah, it was a lot of proteins. We did have some carbs too. Couple of green salads, fresh fruit salad, asian slaw and regular cole slaw, potato salad, bowtie pasta salad w/ zucchini, and some simple sugars too - big 18" chocolate chip cookie cake, ice cream cake, chocolate mousse cake. We sort of celebrated 3 college graduations - Covid delayed things. One cake for my daughter that graduated last week, one cake for another daughter that graduated college during Covid and we weren't allowed to attend her ceremony, and the third cake for my son that graduated college before Covid hit but he decided to leave the day after he graduated for Europe to backpack around for the summer.
