Custom CharQ Finally Complete!

It has been a long time in coming, but I recently received my custom handle from Brian O'Neill for my CharQ as the finishing touch of this custom project. He also earlier made the top vent tab for me. Brian has had some challenges and then wanted to do something totally new and really unique for my custom painted CharQ. I didn't even know what it was going to look like when I opened the package - WOW! Brian blew it out of the water! What a stunning look that matches this paint scheme perfectly. It also looks very much WEBER!

It's going to be hard to now put this grill back in service, but I have dearly missed cooking on my CharQ. And, that's what grills are for! I will post inside pictures when I get it outside doing its maiden voyage after sitting in my home office for a year and a half.

The beautiful Kaon stainless side tables are from Australia. Of course, the design of the CharQ does not allow for them to fold in, but it will be really nice to have sturdy side tables!

Looks fantastic Jon!! I'm on vacation now while mine's probably arriving at my house in Washington. I'll let you know what it looks like when I get it. I'm not sure if mine will be the same or different. I asked for red, white and black color and make it bold. I also ordered one for the ash dump same as the vent on top.
 
Look forward to seeing yours, Josh! It may have taken Brian a very long time, but he hit it out of the park for my color scheme.

I decided to forgo the ash vent tab because mine wasn't coming off readily, and I was a little afraid of damage. I also don't mind it being subdued on mine. I love the top vent tab, though, even if it required replacing the rivet with a carriage bolt.
