I do think the wider framed carts, all look kind of goofy without the RH drop table, regardless of era, wood, durawood or thermoset table.
The only one of those Genesis 2000-5000 grills that doesn't look goofy period, is the 5000 with it's enclosed cabinet. On the other models yes, have to have RH side drop table.
 
Actually IMO the wide frame carts look just fine thank you with no drop leaf on the right side or no rack. And Josh, your tool hooks are exactly where Weber put them on the grills with the drop down leaf on the right. So, you're doing it exactly as the mother ship did
I didn't know that Larry. Do you have a picture example? I've never seen them installed in front of the cook box.

They can be installed between the cook box and the frame and they don’t overheat the hanging tools. They are just more apt to get in the way
They can’t be installed under control panel if there’s a drop table there
